Anastasia Fomin

HEAD COACH

Master of Sports of Russia
in Rhythmic Gymnastics

Anastasia Fomin is the owner and head coach of Irene School of Rhythmic Gymnastics, established in 2012 in Orange County, California. With over a decade of coaching and leadership experience, Anastasia is dedicated to developing strong athletes, confident leaders, and successful teams.

From 2012 to 2020, she prepared numerous gymnasts who achieved success at the state, regional, and national levels in rhythmic gymnastics. Her athletes progressed to elite competition, and in 2018, she served as a coach for Elite Squad and National Team members, contributing to the development of high-level athletes.

Following the challenges of the COVID period, Anastasia, together with Alina Spasskaia, successfully reorganized and expanded the school’s programs, continuing to represent and grow rhythmic gymnastics from the grassroots level.

In September 2024, Anastasia, together with Alina Spasskaia, founded AGG Team Mercury, a dedicated aesthetic group gymnastics team. Since its establishment, Team Mercury has quickly demonstrated success, competing locally and internationally while building a strong reputation for teamwork, artistry, and discipline.

Anastasia’s coaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and respect—values she believes are essential not only in sport, but in life.

Alina Spasskaia

“I think the child, being in the gym, is distracted from negative street factors, gets physical activity, becomes sociable, gets to know new friends, develops leadership qualities, forms the ability to achieve goals, is not afraid to deal with difficulties, which will be very useful in later life.”

Alina Spasskaia

Alina Spasskaia is a Master of Sport in rhythmic gymnastics, a level 10 athlete, and a winner of many international competitions. Over 8 years of coaching experience.

Olga kotelnikova

“Believe in yourself, and the right people will help you to achieve your goals,s and this isn’t only about athletes and coaches. In group routines, girls spend a lot of time together, and they become more than a team; they become a family. A little family with their own amazing communications. They support and help each other. They are still individual people, but their common goals unite them. I believe so much in this connection. That’s marvelous!”

Olga Kotelnikova

Olga Kotelnikova is a Master of Sport in rhythmic gymnastics and 2-times bronze medalist of the championship of Ukraine in group routines.

Hi, I’m Yana - a proud mom of twins, Ivanka and David, and a devoted team mom for our Nové girls. By degree, I’m a criminologist, by trade an accountant, and at heart an event planner. I’m actively involved in supporting our athletes and coaches, both behind the scenes and on the front lines.

I love the energy of competition weekends, cheering from the sidelines, and bringing parents together to build a strong, supportive community. Watching our girls grow in confidence, build friendships, and chase their goals is what makes it all so rewarding. Being part of this journey with them is something I truly cherish.

    Alexandra Kuzkina

    Makeup Stylist & Hair Design

My name is Aleksandra, and my daughter Stefaniia has been part of the club for eight years, transitioning from rhythmic gymnastics to aesthetic group gymnastics as a member of Team Perfe.

My involvement in the sport has grown alongside hers — from creating her competition looks and designing her rhythmic gymnastics costumes from scratch to serving as the team stylist for Mercury, helping craft polished and cohesive looks for the athletes.

I hold degrees in Law and Graphic Design and am a proud mother of three: a gymnast daughter and two sons who are passionate swimmers. In my free time, I enjoy reading and drawing.
